There has never been a portable, battery-powered phantom power supply
like Core Sound's 2Phant!
2Phant can provide 48 Volts of phantom power at up to ten milliAmps per
channel yet operates for more than five hours on a single set of
batteries. Unlike all other battery-powered, two-channel phantom power
supplies that can deliver only two to four milliamps per channel, 2Phant
can power every microphone on the market that specifies P48
phantom power including some of the hardest-to-power microphones from
Earthworks, Schoeps, AKG, CAD Equitek, Shure KSM-series and Neumann.
2Phant is perfect for your critical 24-bit digital recordings. It is
one of the quietest portable phantom power supplies available, with a
noise floor of -157 dBFS (typical) and never higher than -150 dBFS.
2Phant is incredibly power efficient. It operates at full load for
more than five hours on a single pair of alkaline nine-Volt "transistor
radio" batteries. If you need longer continuous operating times, the
batteries can be "hot-swapped" one at a time without losing power,
allowing essentially unlimited continuous operation. Or you can
power 2Phant with an external AC or battery supply.
No other portable phantom power supply keeps you as informed about
the charge state of its batteries. 2Phant has a battery-condition LED
that flashes green when supply voltage is normal, yellow when a battery
is approaching minimum voltage, and red when it's time to change a
battery.
2Phant is rugged and uses professional-quality parts. It has two
industry-standard locking XLR-F inputs, two XLR-M outputs, and is housed
in a black anodized aluminum case.
2Phant is easy to use. Power is controlled by a recessed On/Off
slide switch. The batteries are very accessible and can be inserted and
removed without the bother of easy-to-lose cover panels and
fasteners.
