Core Sound is able to provide a wide range of custom analog and digital cables assemblies and adapters. They include top-quality, well-shielded stereo 1/8" (3.5mm) mini-phone-plug extension cables and cables for dubbing between DAT machines. ANALOG CABLES

The dual-channel "zip" cable used in our cable assemblies is custom made for us to our specifications. It is especially flexible and has a very effective shielding wrap for low noise. (Our specialty is dual channel, unbalanced cable; if you need single channel or balanced cables, please call us to discuss what we can offer.)

Connector choices include XLR, mini-XLR (specify how many pins you need), stereo-mini-phone plugs and jacks, 1/4 mono and stereo phone plugs and jacks, and RCA phono plugs and jacks. All connectors are of the highest quality. The RCA and mini-phone plugs are gold plated. Our XLRs and mini XLRs are made by Switchcraft.

Analog cables are priced at $1 per foot of dual-channel cable and $6 to $12 per connector, including assembly and testing. For example, a 20-foot extension cord with a mini-stereo-phone plug on one end and a jack on the other is priced at $32. A two foot adapter with a mini-stereo-jack on one end and two male XLRs on the other costs $24 ($7 per XLR, $8 per minijack, and $2 for cable).

DIGITAL CABLES

Using military quality teflon-jacketed and impedance-controlled coaxial cable, Core Sound offers high reliability S/PDIF data transfer at reasonable cost.

Connector choices include RCA phono plugs (gold plated), XLRs (from Switchcraft) and 7-pin. To our knowledge, we are the only source other than Sony for the 7-pin plugs used on Sony's TCD-D3, TCD-D7 and TCD-D8 portable DAT recorders.

Digital cables are priced at $1.00 per foot of coaxial cable, $14 for each 7-pin plug (specify input or output) and $6 to $10 for each RCA and XLR plug.

Common stock configurations include an 18-inch cable with a 7-pin output plug on one end an RCA on the other ($30, known as our "7-pin-to-coax cable") and a 3-foot cable with a 7-pin output plug on one end and a 7-pin input plug on the other ($40, known as our "TCD-Cable")

ORDERING

Describe the cable on the order form below. It's a good idea to contact us before you order to make sure that we can build it to your description and to confirm pricing.

Payment: Payment is via money order (available from your local post office) or certified check, US funds only. Personal checks are acceptable but allow some additional time for them to clear the bank prior to shipment. Please add 3% for Visa or Mastercard credit cards.

Shipping: Within the continental United States, Priority Mail (second day delivery) shipping and handling via USPS is $4.00. Next Day Air shipping is $16. Shipping via U.S. Postal Service to Canada is $6, and to Europe, South America, Africa, and Asia is $12. Only New Jersey residents must include 6% sales tax.

TRIAL OFFER

To give you a chance to try them out and decide if they're for you, Core Sound provides a 30 day trial period on all stock cables. Cables returned within 30 days of shipment qualify for a full refund (minus shipping and handling charges) provided that they are returned in as-new condition.

Our trial offer is not available on custom cables.

LIMITED WARRANTY

All cables are sold with a 90 day limited parts and labor warranty. If a cable requires repair during that period, ship it back to Core Sound postage paid with a description of the problem. We will repair or replace it and ship it back to you at no charge. No consequential damages are covered by this warranty.
