Midiman/M-Audio's Delta DiO 2496 Digital PCI I/O Card has been discontinued and is no longer available.

INTRODUCTION

Professional digital transferring and mastering have never been as affordable and easily accessible as they are now with the Delta DiO 2496. With a host of pro features, the Delta DiO 2496 is ready for any and all optical and coaxial S/PDIF applications. Besides sporting both digital I/O formats (optical on TOSlink connectors, coaxial on gold-plated RCA connectors), the Delta DiO 2496 also provides a high-quality D/A converter which may be used for monitoring or mixdowns. All data paths support 24 bit 96kHz operation, and the D/A output channels are completely independent of the digital output channels making the Delta DiO 2496 a 2-in 4-out full-duplex card. Finally, the Delta DiO 2496 offers onboard digital mixing and routing, monitor control, SCMS (Serial Copy Management System) output on S/PDIF, and even multi-platform operation.

Midiman/M-Audio regularly updates the software drivers. They are posted to their Web site. (Search for the Delta-series drivers.) The drivers are compatible with almost all the audio software that's out there other than programs that make an effort to restrict themselves to proprietary hardware (like ProTools).

Which Card Should I Choose: Audiophile 2496 or the Delta DiO 2496?

M-Audio makes two fine two-channel digital audio interface cards: the Delta DiO 2496 and the M-Audio CO2.

(The Delta DiO 2496 is only a bit more expensive than the Audiophile 2496 and is equally as easy to install and use.)

One-meter fiber optic cables with Toslink plugs on both ends are $9. Cables with one Toslink and one Miniplug are $15. Cables with two Miniplugs are $25.

2.5-meter fiber optic cables with Toslink plugs on both ends are $15. Cables with one Toslink and one Miniplug are $20. Cables with two Miniplugs are $30.

Five-meter fiber optic cables with Toslink plugs on both ends are $20. Cables with one Toslink and one Miniplug are $25. Cables with two Miniplugs are $35.

Add $10 for 10-meter fiber optic cables.

Coaxial 75-Ohm cables with two RCA plugs are priced at $15 for a 3-foot cable and $18 for a 6-foot cable. We can make custom length cables at low cost -- please contact us for details!

Shipping:Within the continental United States, shipping and handling for the DiO 2496 and up to four cables is $8.00, Next Day Air shipping is $22, and Second Day Air is $13; please add $3 for South and West. Shipping via U.S. Postal Service Air Parcel Post to Europe, South America, Africa, Australia and Asia is $23 and $16 to Canada. Shipping via US Postal Service Express Mail to Europe, South America, Africa, Australia and Asia (typically two or three day delivery) is $32 ($35 for two). Shipping of up to four cables alone via USPS Priority Mail is $6.00. New Jersey residents must include 6% sales tax.

Payment: Payment is via credit card (Visa, Mastercard and American Express), personal checks, money order (available from the Post Office or bank), traveller's cheques, wired funds, cash or certified check, US funds only. Please allow some additional time for personal checks to clear the bank prior to shipment. COD shipments are available in some situations -- contact us for details. To give you a chance to try the DiO 2496 and decide if it's for you, Core Sound provides a 30 day trial period. All DiO 2496s and cables returned within 30 days of shipment qualify for a full refund (minus shipping and handling charges) provided that they are returned in as-new condition.

LIMITED WARRANTY

The Midiman/M-Audio DiO 2496 is sold with a 1 year limited parts and labor warranty. If the DiO 2496 requires repair during that period, ship it back to Core Sound postage paid with a description of the problem. We will repair or replace it and ship it back to you at no charge. No consequential damages are covered by this warranty.
