(Note: Not all combinations of PDAs and mass storage discussed below
have been tested. Please contact the recording software vendors for the
most current recommendations.)
PDAs For DVD Quality Recording (24bit, up to 96 KS/s)
- HP iPAQ 210 (and 211) Enterprise, using Intel 624 MHz processor and
Windows Mobile 6. (Accepts high capacity SDHC cards!)
- Socket Mobile's SoMo
650e mobile computer.
- HP/Compaq's hx2795 and hx2790 iPAQs
- Dell's Axim X51v (running Windows Mobile 5.0) and X50v (running
Windows Mobile 2003 SE)
- HP/Compaq's hx2450- and hx2700-series iPAQs
- HP/Compaq's iPAQ (hx4700-series)
- HP/Compaq's h2200-series iPAQ (no SD hot-swapping capability)
- Other PDAs with a CF slot and an SD card slot using processors that
run at 400 MHz or better.
Notes:
HP's new iPAQ 210 and 211 allow the use of 8 GB (and larger) SDHC
memory cards!
The new SoMo 650-M from Socket Mobile works fine with PDAudio.
We recommend the Dell Axim X50v if it's running under
Windows Mobile 2003 SE. We do not recommend it using Windows
Mobile 5.0.
Please check with the software vendors to see what PDAs they recommend
for use with their software.
