In addition to cables, we are pleased to offer a few very useful Toslink accessories: an extender and an adapter to convert Toslink to Miniplug. The extender ("barrel") lets you connect two Toslink cables. It is a short cylinder (.75 inch in length and .625 inch in diameter) that has a female Toslink jack at each end. The extender does reduce the brightness of the optical signal somewhat so be careful to keep cable runs as short as possible. The Toslink-to-Miniplug adapter converts your Toslink cable's plug into the Miniplug commonly use in portable MiniDisc recorders and other consumer products. It snaps on to any Toslink plug.
